Founded in 1983, the European Materials Research Society (E-MRS) is an international, interdisciplinary organization with over 4,000 members from academia, industry, government, and research labs. It promotes cross-disciplinary exchange in functional materials research, recognizes excellence through awards at all career stages, and maintains strong global ties as part of the International Union of Materials Research Societies (IUMRS).
E-MRS’s flagship activities are its annual Spring and Fall Meetings, which together host dozens of topical symposia, attract thousands of participants, and include industry exhibitions. Each symposium publishes proceedings that capture the latest advances in materials growth, properties, processes, and device applications.
